Emotions are transient. Once you know what you're feeling, it only stays a while.
Sessions are 1 hour long. You will learn how to know what your body is telling you, ways to take care of your emotional and mental self, gain an understanding for past experiences, and how to trust yourself going forward. It won't always feel good or be easy; I am here for all of it. It is a powerful experience when you know what you are feeling and the ways to respond to it, no matter the emotion(s).
We are made up of parts. Some are easier to acknowledge and love than others. ALL of your parts are welcome in therapy. Together we will find the light in all of the darkness.
To say parenting isn't easy is an understatement. It has more challenges than expected at times. Children (and families) are constantly growing and changing, which is great - they should be! However, it can be challenging when things are not in sync. It can be hard to know as a parent when to push, and when to pull back. Parents want their children to be and feel successful, but to also be able to follow directions, take part in their emotional regulation, and to enjoy when the family unit is together. Nothing and no one is perfect, but having different tools, to be better equipped, will help you feel more secure in your parenting role.
